The voice on this track is Mankato legend Memphis Steve. Memphis is a frequenter of open mics, a singer songwriter, comedian, and entertainer. He is known to improvise his entire set. I asked Steve to say a few words about Mankato, and he recorded it to cassette tape. With the help of another Mankato legend, Ocho, it was converted to digital for use in this song.
